The Parliamentary Committee appointed by Mr Goschen to consider the question of the investment of trust funds in colonial securities are discussing the provisions of the Imperial Bill which sanctioned the investment of trust funds in a manner desired by the colonial governments. Sir Graham Berry, AgentGeneral of Victoria, who was one of those selected to act with the committee, questions the right of certain demands made on the colonies as provided in the

Lord Scott has resumed command of the Australian Naval station, The well-known jockey named Prank Smith has been arrested on a charge of murderjng the man who was found stabbed to death st Surrey Hills, a suburb of Sydney, last week. A man named Paxton, alleged to have been an accomplice in the crime, has also been arrested.
