David Raid, a member of the firm of Reid and Gray, aged about 30, was drowned at Waipuhi, Otago, whilo angling. The Oamaru Show proved a great success. In thoroughbred horses, Fusilier took first piizs for stallion. Mr J. Geinmell took the cup for Ayshires; Mr A. B. Smith for merinos (there being no competition in the fine combing class) ; and Mr T. Thompson for thoroughbred stock.
