I The Road Car Company have granted Ithe demands of the busmen for*a reduce Ition of the factors of 'labor to twelvetoours as a day’s work on condition that the other bus companies make similar concessions* j The earnings of the Tilbury dock laborers have been increased by 4s and 6s weekly ; in some instances the wages of men employed at other docks have also been increased’by 8s and 13s weekly. Nov. 18. The strikers and public are boycotting a few unyielding bakers, and bread in ; consequence has been raised |d. i The leaders of the late strike only received their bare expenses. The men engaged in the malting houses of five of the largest breweries at Burton-on-Trent have struck for an advance of wages.
