Archer’s hotel and store, and Ferris’s store, Boatman’s, West Coast, were burnt down on Saturday. Archer’s is a total loss in buildiag and srock. Ferris bad a small quantity of stock saved, but the building and the bulk of its contents were destroyed. Archer’s was insured for £IOOO. Ferris’ insurance is not yet ascertained, but it is believed the total amount does not exceed £4OO.
