TIMARU HARBOUB BOARD BATE, PECIAL ORDER to be made on the ) 11th day of December, 1889, by the Counncil of the Geraldine County : That a Rateof one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on the oapital value of all rateable property in the Geraldine County towards meeting the interest on the loans authorised by "The Timaru Harbour Board Loan Aot, 1881," and "TheTimaru Haibour Board Loan Aot, 1885," be made and levied by this Council pursuant to the provisions of said Ac!s, such rate to bo an annually-recurring rate, from the first day of January, 1889, payable in equal portions half-yearly at the office of the Timaru Harbour Board at Timaru, or oliewhere, as may from time to time be appointed, on every 30th day of June and 81st day of December, to be levied year by year without farther proceedings by this Council until the laid loans are paid off, subject to the power of increasing or diminishing the said rate conferred by Section 160 of "The Counties Aot, 1886;" both half-yearly payments for the year 1889 to be made together on the 31st day of December next, and all payments thereafter to be made on the half-yearly dates aforesaid. The resolution to make the above Speoial Order will be confirmed at the Monthly Meeting of the Geraldine County Council, to beheIdonWEDMESDAYj the 11th day of December, 1889, and will come into force on the same day.
