A Suspiflioufl Cask. — The b*dy of an apparently newly-born female child' 1 wm found on Wednesday in the Catholic portion of the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin. A couple of boys, on their way to achool, noticed a box with marks of blood on it, and at ones went to the sexton, Mr Simpson, and told him what they had seen., He proceeded to the spot, and found that the box contained the body of a child. The pelioo' were eommum- j oated with, and Constable Paterson, who wai despatched to the cemetery, had the body removed to the Farmers’ Arms Hotel. So far no elue has'been obtained as to the parents of the child.
