Pbesbstbeiav Synod.—At a meeting of the Presbyterian Synod at Dunedin on Tuesday it was decided to hold a pnblio meeting in the interest of missions on Thursday. A report on the state of religion was brought up, and gave rise to very long discussion and many diverse opinions. As an aid to family worship the Rev. Mr Adams suggested the preparation of a prayer book. ' Others who referred t® this approved of the suggestion. The report, which recommended a week of prayer and the appointment of evangelistic deputies, was adopted. A committee was appointed to draw up an address to the Governor. ; The noted quality of the Coffee made in the Cafds of Turkey, Prance, and America is chiefly due to the fact that only Fresh Boasted Coffee is used 5 so that none of the volatile oil and other essentials are lost. Ask your grocer for Anderson’s Coffee, and you will have a beverage alike refreshing and s imulating, as it is fresh roasted and ground at the factory, Timaru. —[Adtx. 2J SPECIAL FOB THE TIMARU SHOW, 1889. aethue g- a bit es , THE CORNER, S NOW SHOWING A SPECIAL PURCHA SE OF KAIAPOI CLOTHING.
