A WRINKLE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib, A new system has been adopted by a man of my acquaintance to get his land brought under cultivation. This consists of a good-sized pig —a real Captain Cook—who was hard at work at the time of my visit. This gentlemen was tethered with a strong chain several yards in length, so that he could come and go upon the patch he was at work upon. When ail within range of his tether has been turned over his owner shifts the peg to a new patch of ground, when a fresh piece is turned over. One small psddock of about two acres has been brought under cultivation in this manner and sown down with grass seed, and is at present looking exceedingly well, As there are many poor settlers who cannot raise a plough and team this economical dodge might suit some of those who have small lots to break up. Will yon kindly make it known in your valuable paper, which circulates largely iu the district.—l am, etc., Ibid. Geraldine, Oct. 29,1889.
