In t;he course of an interview, Sir Henry Parkes, Premier of New South Wales, said ho had come to the conclusion that the ‘future Government of Australia should be nothing 'short of a Dominion Parliament in the Dominion of Australis. The colonies, he thought, should be created a Dominion, with one elective Parliament. Ha favored a great convention of the different Assemblies of Australasia, representing! all parties, to form the basis of a Fbderal Government. Sir Samuel Griffiths and Sir Thomas Mcllwraith practically coincide with Sir Henry Parkes.
