la order to meet the Exhibition and tourist trcffic, the second saloon of the Marsroa, which leaves Melbourne on the 20tk November, arriving at tho r Bluff on Monday, the 25th, the day before the opening, has ;been bo arranged that it can be utilised as a first saloon, while the second class will be accommodated on the lower deck. The Mararoa will run special trips every ten, days iu addition to the usual service. To meet the coast traffic additional accommodation is to be fitted up in the Waihora, Tarawera, Eotomahaha, To Anau, Botorua, and Ringareoma. Tbe Tekapo and Penguin will leave Onehunga each Tuesday and Friday, making fast trips to Lyttelton, and connecting with tbe train service. The Rotorua and Ringaroama will run between Nelson and Dunedin, each making one trip in the week. There will thus be three steamers per .week from the northern ports, and a daily steamer from Lyttelton to Wellington. V In connection, with the train service tbe Railway Commissioners give free passes to' official representatives at the Exhibition from other colonies. The West Coast Committee display an obelisk showing the export of gold. Ths mineral court is rapidly advancing towards completion, and the display will be very effective, far exceeding that at Victoria. Models ef an interesting description are to bo transferred at the close ef the Exhibition to tbe Otago museum.
