The Japanese coast bordering on the Gulfs of Owarai and Nigaga has been swept by huge wavep, and it is estimated that fully a thousand lives hayo been lost, The Penang Gazette says that |he Netherlands Indian Government ’intended despatching a large number of troops to Acheen, but as cholera had broken out it would probably delay them.
