A young man named Eobert G-illon, employed as a station hand near Blenheim, sustained concussion of the brain and laceration of the ear through a Mck from a horse. Two Christchureh boys have been fined £5 each and severely cautioned for sounding false fire alarms. At the inquest on the child dorrado,, at Wellington, a verdict was returned j that the child was killed by her mother while the latter was of unsound mind
