After a prolonged discussion the vote fbr the remuneration of Mr John Davies as chairman of the harbor board was carried in the Assembly by a majority of 26. Mr Dibbs, followed by the majority of the Opposition, left, the Chamber amid cheers and laughter from the Government benches. The House is still sitting. While the division was proceeding Mr W. P. Crick, member for West Macquarrie, advanced to the .table and cried in a loud voice, “You ought to be prosecuted for robbing the Treasury , you are a lot of —— Orange hounds and For this explosion of feeling Crick was sentenced to detention .during the pleasure of the House.

After a consecutive sitting of 49 hours the Legislative Assembly rose, Mr Crick; member for West Macquarrie, who war placed under arrest for contempt, has been ‘ discharged from tbe custody of the SCrgeant-at-Arms.
