MISCELLANEOUS.
Mr Aspinall asked as to what was to be done at the entrance to the new ford to the mill. —The overseer replying to questions said that the better plan would be to put in , a boulder ford. —Mr Aspinall suggested that a wooden culvert could be put in. He suggested that the board could do part of the work, and Messrs Aspinall and Co. could arrange about the balance. —The matter was left to the overseer to deal with. The chairman asked if any steps were to be taken with regard to the footbridge. He understood that the overseer was t® have reported on the matter.—The overseer said that there was no resolution to that effect.—■ After discussion it was resolved that the overseer be authorised to expend an amount not exceeding £lO in improvements to the ford. The overseer asked for instructions as to the ford at the Oxford bridge. It waa always, dangerous and very costly. It would be objectionable to carry the cutting further back,—Mr Aspinall thought it would be better to close the road.—After discussion it was resolved that the road be closed owing to the dangerous nature of the ford.
