GERALDINE DOMAIN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the board was held on Tuesday evening last. Present —Messrs W. S. Maslin (chairman), A. Sherratt, A. White, J. Mundell, R. Taylor, N. Dunlop, and J. Williams. ' MINUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. TREES DESTROYED. The chairman stated that a number of trees had been blown down in the bush parks by the late gale, and he had let a contract for cutting them into posts and firewood. The action of the chairman was approved of, and it was decided to sell the wood and posts by auction when the work was completed. MISCELLANEOUS. A letter had been received during the month from Mr J. H. Baker, r$ the large bush park, and replied to. Messrs Smithson, Raymond and Smith also wrote enclosing amount received from Mr R. S. Cook for rent of domain, Mr Dunlop pointed out that the fences round his leasehold had been considerably damaged by the falling trees, and objected to having to repair such damages.—lt was decided to repair the same.—The chairman was also instructed to draw a cheque tor the cutting of the timber on the completion of the work. The meeting then terminated.
