I , : 5 London, Sept. 24. i At the wool sales there was a moderate catalogue. There was a large attendance, and competition was most keen. Prices were fully maintained, and in gqpd mbtihos advance on July rates was’ realised, In crossbreds prices are unchanged. Sept. 25. i The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat foi? the United Kingdom is 1.556.000 quarters, and for the Continent 304,000 quarters. , * The American visible supply of wheat is 17.525.000 bushels. The wool arrivals to date number 267;000 bales, of which 49,000 have been sent to the Continent,, The number of bales available fPr ; the series is 228,200. , : r ■ i At the wool sales to-day,a better selection was offered; Former prices were fully maintained, and sometimes exceeded. The-tone of the market just now is very buoyant.' There is an oyer-supply at the present auctions of inferior scoured wools. New Zealand frozen -.mutton is quoted at s|d per lb. : ,Fine English wheat is 6d dearer.
