Jane Tmdall—Claim £9.—Mr Aspinall appeared for the plaintiff.—Judgment for the amount claimed, and costs. J, Brown v. G. Leveas Claim £6 Os Id. Mr Aspinall appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Cathro for defendant. Mr Cathro said the claim of the plaintiff was admitted. The only thing in dispute was the defendant's set-off which amounted to £6 2s. He called George Levens, who gave evidence to the effect that the amount of his set-off was due to him for attending to a sick cow belonging to plaintiff, and also for doing bailiff work for the plaintiff. The various items in < the defendant's set-off were gone into, ' but as the evidence involves the names ef many whose goods were seized, and had no particular interest, the neces- ! ■; sity for reporting is obviated. The examination of plaintiff and defendant was verv protracted, and ultimately the Bench, after careful consideration, allowed the defendant £1 15s of the amount of his set-off, and gave judgment for the plaintiff for the balance, .£4lss ld,;and costs. The Court then adjourned.
