A Mr Watt, of Gore, Southland, offers to supply that Borough with gas at 10a per 1000 feet as a maximum price, probable price 6a, if they will give him a monopoly for 14 years. It is said he proposes to make gas from refuse fat and water. He already uses this gas in bis own premises. He says tbc capital required for the plant is only £ISOO, and he will provide this on being secured the monopoly he asks for. The Gore Council agreed to erect one lamp to give the tallow gas a trial. The neighboring town beard of Gordon agreed to accept Mr Watt’s offer on certain conditions. The noted quality of the Coffee made in the Gates of Turkey, France, and America is chiefly due to the fact that only Fresh Boasted Coffee is usedj so that none of the volatile oil and other essentials are lost. Ask jour grocer for Anderson’* Coffee, and you will have a beverage alike refreshing and stimulating, as it is fresh roasted and ground at the factory, Timoru.—[Advt. 2J
