TEMUKA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.

A meeting of the directors of this society was held last evening in the Crown Hotel. Mr A. M. Clark, Preaident of the society, occupied the chair. After routine, it was resolved that a ball be held on Thursday, Oct. 10th. The price of tickets for members was fixed at ss, and for non-members at 7s 6d. A management committee, consisting of Messrs Quinn, Lawson, Smith, McCaakill, Angland, and Gunnion, were, appointed to carry ont details. A finance committee, consisting of Messrs Allan, Henry, and McLeod was appointed, in accordance with Rule 10. In view of (he sports meeting, Messrs Naugbton, Allan, Bisset, Henry, McLeod, McCaskill, Mackay, E. Lee, and Lawson were appointed a ground coramitte. Twelve new members wore elected, and after some consideration had been given to the regulations dealing with the election of new members the meeting terminated.
