Sir J. G. Lee Steere, Speaker of the Legislative Council, suggests a compromise as a solution of the land difficulty. He proposes that the colony be divided north to south along the 120 degree of longitude, that to westward to be vested in a local legislature, that to eastward to bo under Imperial control. The proposal is generally approved. Adelaide, August 28.
