WAITOHI WATER SUPPLY.
A well attended meeting of settlers interested in the question of a water supply for Ihe Waitohi F‘at was held at the schoolroom, Waitohi, last night. Mr W. fialfour, Chairman of the County Council, presided. Mr E. W. Stubbs, clerk to the County Council, was also in attendance. The question of borrowing the sum of £2500 under the Local Bodies Finance and Powers Act for the purposes of irrigation was thoroughly discussed, and ultimately the chaimum notified that a poll to decide the question would be taken on August 12th. A fuller report will appear in our next issue.
