Cairo, July 15. General'Gr6enfell has issued a proclamation threatening to punish with death any natives convicted of dealing with the Dervishes. The Dervishds are still at Abu Simbelt They have lost about ninety men in the skirmishes; recently; Yesterday some 1500 more appeared in the neighborhood of Surras, The Irish regiments have reached Assouan, and the Egyptian troops have been ordered thence to Korosko,' further up the Nile. Persistent rumors are afloat in this city of a combined advance ot the A*gloEgyptian force on Dongola in the autumn.", Later. 1 The Dervishes reported at Sarras yesterday showed a disinclination to advance.
