The English wheat market is firmer, and the Continental inactive; American is steady. Forward business is inactive, foreign arrivals being liberal.

Australian flour, ex store, averages 275.

Tallow-Medium mutton, 255; do beef, 245. The quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 239,000 bales, of which 227,000 have been sold. Linseed oil, double boiled, Is 11-fd. A cargo of wheat, ex brigantine Paula, from Timaru, has been sold at 345.

.At the wool auction bidding was spirited, but prices remain unchanged. New Zealand hemo is quoted at £29 15s to £3O.
