Masonic. The meeting of Lodge Southern Star called for the 11th inst. is postponed until the 18ih, when all members are requested to attend. A Successful Company.— The annual meeting of the Farmers’ Co-operative Association of North Canterbury w«8 held en Saturday. The balanoe-eheet showed a net profit for the year of £7,150 12s Id, and adding the balance brought forward from last year, £1,103 IBs 7d, the total amount to be dealt with was £8,25410s Bd. The directors proposed the usual dividend of 7 per cent, and a bonus of 4 per cent on called-up capital, also a bonus uf 4 per cent on shareholders’ purchases of merchandise during the year. They also proposed to write 20 per cant off items of machinery and office furniture, and to add to the reserve fund £ISOO, the balance to be carried forward, The directors proposed a further issue of 8000 new shares at a premium of 2s fid, the p;emium to be added to the reserve fund.
