WESLEYAN CHURCH, TEMUKA.

A social gathering in connection with the Wesleyan Church took place last evening, in the shape of a coffee supper in the vestry. Although wet, there were twenty-five persons present. After the good things (provided by Me and Mrs Bunn) had been done justice to a hymn wa# sung. The Rev. R. S, Bunn then spoke, thanking all for the support they had given, and for what had been done. They had great cause to thank God for blessings received, Mr J. Brown then spoke in great praise of the Rev. Mr and Mrs Bunn, and of the unity existing between the members of the Church, unity being strength, which was the cause dof thier success. The Sunday School was a matter requiring attention, and he wished the old church to be put in repair. He had great pleasure in moving a very hearty and cordial vote of thanks to Mr and Mrs Bunn for the good things provided that evening. This was seconded by Mr T. Barr, and carried unanimously. One of Sankey’s hymns having been sung, the secretary gave the financial statement of the church, which was considered very satisfactory. Matters relating to the Sunday School and renovating the old church were then gone into. The Rev. Mr Bunu pronouncing the Benediction brought a most enjoyable evening to a close.
