IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authority vested in me by the two hundred and sixty-sf.ventb section of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and at the request of the Geraldine County Council, I, William llillior, Earl of Ocs'ow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the lands described in the Schedule herete to be water-races, as defined by the two huadred and sixty-sixth section of the said Act, to be known by the name of the Woodbury Water-races ; and, furthsr, that the River Waihi, in the County of Geraldine, shall bo a stream which may be taken for the purpose of supplying the said water-races. SCHEDULE. Woodbury Water-race District.— Woodbury Water-races. Head Race No. 1! All that ar?a, 25 links in width, situate in the Four Peaks Survey District, commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waihi River, and proceeding in a' south-easterly direction, intersecting Crown lands, to Scott Read ; thence across that road, and intersecting Sections Nos. 5761, 2255, 22158, and 2254, and Reserve No. 1842, to the Waihi Bosh Road ; and thence in a westerly direction across the latter road-to section No. 19931. Race No. 2 : All that area, links in width, situate in the Survey Districts of Four Peaks and Orari, commencing at. Hoad Rac# No. 1, hereinbefore described, in Reserve No. 1842, Four Peaks Survey District, and proceeding in a generally south-easterly direction, Intersecting the said Reserve No. 1842, to a road’; thence across that road, and intersecting Sections Nos. 21505, 1244, 933, 836, 3610, and 21244, to Welby Road; thsace across that road, and intersecting Sections Nos. 1243, 1010, 3155, and 3609, to a road intersecting tho last-mentioned section ; thence across that road, .and intersecting Section No. 3609 aforesaid, Reserve No. 1544, ond Section No, 15590, Orari Survey District, to the left bank of the Waihi River. Race No. 7 : AH that area, links in width, situate in. the Survey Districts of Orari and,Geraldine., cpmmencing at Race No. 6. hereinbefore-described, in Section No. 19378, Orari Suryey District, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction, intersecting Section!
