Thursday Island, Juno 1. A boy shot three females at Shanghai. One is dead and the others are dying. The tea crops in the district of Canton are below the average, and twenty per cent, worse than last year. Cholera is still increasing at Manilla. The death rate averages fifty daily. News from Corea is disquieting. The Treasury is empty and the Government are unable to pay for 60,000 rifles which they had ordered. It is reported that Admiral Sheffield has bees offered the position of King’s Adviser, vice Judge Denny.
