GERALDINE ROAD BOARD.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — I see by the annual report of the Geraldine Road Board the sum of £205 set down as being spent in the Orari Tillage Settlement and Geraldine Mat district. Wow I, as a ratepayer in the district named, should like to know what portion of that amount has been spent on roads, etc., in the Orari Settlement. I have been living there for three years, and I do not think there has been more than £3O spent in that portion of the district during the three years, and I think it would give the ratepayers a clearer view of where the money is spent if the Road Board would classify the districts a little plainer, so that the ratepayers would know if the Board is expending an equal share of its funds in each district. Now the Board are receiving about £8 8s per year from me, which amount has to be spent on making roads, etc,, in the Orari Tillage Settlement, and not spent in the Geraldine Mat, or any other portion of the Geraldine Road district. —I am, etc., Geo. Batti, Oran.
