THE TRAMWAY PATENT CASE.

At Wellington yesterday Justice Richmond delivered judgment in Toung v. Tramway Company, an action for infringment of patent heard in January when the jury awarded damages to the plaintiff. The case was then reserved for further consideration qf the law points, each party claiming the judgment of the Court. Judge Richmond gave judgement for the plaintiff for the damages found by the jury with all profits derived by defendants from the use of the invention from the date ef the writ till the day of trial, with an injunction against further use of cars built on plaintiff's model, and an order for the destruction of four cars built on that model and costs for plaintiff. The defendants moved for a new trial.
