THE SAMOAN CONFERENCE.
Berlin, May 2. It is expected that the Conference Will reinstate Malietoa in the sovereignty of Samoa. The committee are engaged drafting a plan for the government of the islands under native rulers, and also settling the constitution of the tribunal to adjudicate on questions of private fond tenure. It is fxpecled tin Conference will appoint a council of three to advise the King. In sotrm quarters it is feared the complaisance which England is showing to the wishes of Germany may offend America.
