Sydney, April 14. The train from Junee, Hay, when travelling round a curve near Taree, at & speed of thirty-five miles an hour, dashed into a mob of cattle. The engine went over an embankment, and also some of the trucks, but luckily the couplings between the trucks aad the passenger carri»ges gave way, saving the occupants of the latter from injury. Oakes, the driver of the engine, hod his leg torn off, and the fireman (Ferguson) fell nnder the engine, both being killed. Those were the only casualties with the exception of two of the passengers, who sustained slight injuries during the collision.
