DUNEDIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

Dunedin, April 12,

Mr ißoberts in his address to the Chamber of Commerce draws attention to the improved commercial outlook. He urges farmers to quit their produce while prices are fairly remunerative. In regard to the frozen meat trade he thinks sale in the colony is most desirable and will rejoice to see the day when all meat is bought in the colony and taken Home by the purchasers, as it is high time the seller iu London had a direct interest in the out turn of the venture. He thinks he is not taking too sanguine a view when he estimates the rise in the values of grain, wool and frozen meat compared with last year at £1,250,000. He strongly deprecates any return fo the borrowing policy, and urges that future surpluses should go to the reduction of taxation.
