A DEATH DREAM.

Minnie H. Adams, aged 19, the | daughter of a fruit salesman living at Eleanor road, Dalston, has died under singular circumstances. Minnie used to keep company with William Dunkhill, a bookseller's assistant, who visited her parents' house on Sunday week. The parents had gone into the country to attend a funeral, but there were two grown-up sons and several little children in the house. _ During the evening she kept fancying she heard strange noises, and to satisfy her Dunkhill went over the house twice. At length he offered to stay in the house all night. About halfpast 12 they retired, the deceased sleeping in a room with her two little sisters, and Duukhill occupying the room next to it. About 10 minutes past 3 he woke and thought he saw deceased in his room calling his name. He jumped out of bed, but she was not there. He lit the gas, and found that his door was open, though he had closed it when he retired. Having dressed, he went to the deceased's door, and asked the child where Minnie was, but she said she did not know. Dunkhill then entered the room, where he found deceased lying on the floor, with blood issuing from her mouth. She appeared to be dead, and was pronounced so when the doctor arrived. At the inquest on ! Thursday night, Dr. Gribbings deposed I that death was due to failure of the heart's action consequent on disease of the lungs, and that no doubt the fear, acting on a weak heart, accelerated it. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical testimony.
