HHHE Board, in pursuance of powers in JL that behalf conferred by " The Education Act, 1877" (section 64 as amonded), hereby directs that a PUBLIC MEETING of the HOUSEHOLDERS in EVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT throughout the Education District of South Canterbury, be hold o.i TUESDAY, 23rd day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, at seven o'clock in the evening-, for the Election in ench District of SEVEN HOUSEHOLDERS (section 64) to form the Committee for such District for the yeur ending with the fourth Monday in April, eighteen hundred and ninety. I The place of meeting shall be the Schoolhouse in each district which is provided with a Schoolhouse. In the Districts in which Schools are not yet built, the places of meeting shall be as follows : Arundel—At the House of Mr Robert Tarbotton. Oave—At the Cave Hotel. I Fairfield—At the House of Mr Robert Hammond. Seadown—At the House of Mrs Hornbrook. The Board further directs that the First Meeting of each School Committee be hald in the place appointed for the Elections, and immediately after the election upon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of each Public Meeting to make to the Board immediately after the election return of the names of the several Householders elected to form the Committee, and recommends that each Chairman of Committee report bis own election as soon as possible.
