AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. GERALDINE, J. Munddl and 00, report rales for the week ending Friday, sth April, 1889 : At the Geraldine monthly tale on Wednesday the entries of stock wag the headset that hao ever been in these yards, several large mobs of eheep being yarded on the previous day, and from an early hour on Wednesday the stock came pouring in ffbm all sides until the yards were completely blocked. Several large lines were compelled to remain on the roads, and were submitted to auction under difficulties. The public are now demanding fortnightly gales in order to meet the requirements of the district. The numbers yarded for the day were 18,000 sheep, 162 head of cattle, and 136 pigs. Prices realised during the sale were— Sheep—Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, 4 and 6 tooth, fat, lls; crossbred wethers and owes, 2 tooth, 9r 3d to 8i 9d; crossbred ewer, 4 and 6 tooth, 7s lid to 7s; crossbred ewes, full-mouth, 4a to 3a 6d ; merino ewes, sound sheep, 4s to 3a ; merino owes, culls, 2i to Is 9d ; lambs 5s 7d to 4s 6d; do culls, 3 1, Cattle—Three-year-old steers, fat, £5 5s to £4 4s; three-year«old forward stores, £3l7s 6d j cows, fat, £4 ss, £4 to f 3 18*; two-year-old steers and heifers, £ll2s 6d to £1 10»; yearlings, £1 7s 6d to £1 2a 6d 5 calves, 10» to 7a 6d j old dry cows, £1 to 10«.
