Morris. Handled pper—P. Stock. The annual race meeting at Pleasant Point was held yesterday. The day was favorable in every respect, and there was a capital attendance. The general arrangements of the course, etc., were good, but it would have certainly been an improvement to have bad both aides of the run-in fenced off, and also to have had the judge’s stand, secretary’s tent, and saddlery paddock on one side of the course, instead of having thorn scattered about. Mr Murphy had a general license booth, and Mr McAlister a refreshment booth. Both did a good business. The meeting was a most orderly one, and the office of the police was a sinecure. The racing calls for no special mention. In the Hurdles Monteagle had the race well in band, but was baaten on the post by Sir John. The letter could not, however, draw the weight. In the Maiden Race another protest was entered ageiost Vixen, the grounds bomg improper description. The protest was not entertained. The Trot also produced another protest, the owner of lon stating that the winner did not go the required distance. As a matter of fact, Charley, the winner, was proceeding to make another round when be was called back by the Clerk of th e Course. The protest in this case was not entertained.
