Tho Government have resolved to call for freah tenders for the Onehunga Courthouse, which Auckland builders refused to tender lor because kauri timber was not specified. There was no insurance on the Catholic school burnt at Nelson on Tuesday night. Tho estimated value of the building alone was £7500. At Auckland, on Tuesday, a six-year-old boy named Cornwell was bidly burned about the body through playing with fire in the house. He now lies in the hospital ■ in a precarious condition.
