AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.
GERALDINE. Messrs "Webster and Macdonald reports as follows on the G-eraldme monthly stock sale:— We held our monthly sale of stock at the G-eraldine Yards on Wednesday last, and have to report a brisk demand for young store sheep of all descriptions. The total number of sheep yarded for the day was 5407 We sold fat two-tooths at 9a 7d; medium lambs at 5s 6d; a good line realised 7s Id. We sold merino ewes from Is 9d for culls to 3s 8d for soundmouthed ones. Fat Sheep—No demand. We withdrew a grand line of four-tooth wethers at 10s.
I Cattle A very heavy supply of both fat and store cattle. We have to notice a decline in value of both sorts. Fat steers fetched from £4s 10s to £5 ss. Stores—Yearlings, from 20s to 30s j cows, from 25s to 50s. Pigs—A fair entry. All sorts quitted at good values. Privately during the week we sold 1000 crossbred sound-mouthed ewes, 1300 weaners, 1500 two-tootbs, and 250 fat two-tooths, at prices satisfactory to yendors.
