ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, February 18. Henry George will shortly visit Australia. Arrived —Pbjliis, ship, from Lyttelton (Nov. 14th), It would seem that the murder epidemic which prevailed in the latter part of last year in the neighborhood of Whitechupel, and whieh was attributed to " Jack the Ripper," has broken out in the West Indies. The lost victim at Whitecbapel was killed jd November last, and in the following month four negroes prostitutes were killed in Jamaica, Attached to the body of the fourth victim was a paper signed " Jack the Ripper." The murderer appears to have then proceeded to Nicaragua, where, during the month of January, six similar atrocities were committed, Mr T. F. Bayard, United States Secretary of State, advocates proclaiming neutrality over the Suez and Panama canals, and Samoa. Mr Healey, engaged in the defence of O'Brien, charged with inciting, was ejected from the court at Tralee for insulting Colonel Turner, whom he called a sneak.
