SHOCKING CRIMES.
London, February 12. Last night the landlord of a hotel at Swansea discovered a negro who was attempting to enter the house, his object evidently being robbery. The landlord closed with the burglar, and the struggle terminated in the negro murdering the landlord by cutting his throat with a razor. In the meantime the disturbance had awakened the landlady, who appeared on the scene with a revolver, and fired at the negro, wounding him. The latter, however, managed to escape from the hotel, but by this time the whole street was aroused 5 a thousand people joined in the hunt, and the murderer was eventually captured, The body of a woman, headless and ripped open, was found in a box at Dundee. The husband was arrested, and confessed ‘to having committed the murder. Vienna, February 12.
A gold worker in this city poisoned his family of five children, and then committed suicide himself by taking poison, .
