On the valet’s return he found the door locked, and on forcing it open discovered Prince Rudolpli lying in bed undressed and drenched in blood. The Archduke Carl has renounced the succession in favor of his son Francis. The body of Prince Rudolph is lying in state publicly. The funeral, which will be private, takes place to-morrow. The Emperor William will not be allowed to attend even informally. The evidence shows that Prince Rudolph’s suicide was premeditated. The Archduke Charles is delaying his formal renunciation of the succession, there being a possibility of a posthumous heir being boru. London, February 5. The Yienna correspondent of the Daily Chronicle telegraphs that Prince Rudolph first shot a lady of tho Bohemian nobility, and then shot himself, lo is stated that the lady’s body was secretly sent to her family.
