A young man named Frank Reeve was committed for trial at Wellington for forging two cheques for £2 and £2 ss, Alexander McColloclc had several ribs broken aud suffered serious internal injuries at Auckland on Tuesday night. Hu was unharnessing a horse in the stable when the animal kicked him and trod on him when down. Ho is not expected to rr cover. A farewell address from the citizens of Auckland was presented to the Governor by the Mayor. Sir William Jervois expressed bis regret upon leaving this colony, and said that he had contemplated taking np his abode here. He stated that Lord Onslow was exactly the man who would be liked as Governor of this colony. A ploughman named James Doyle was drowned at Mohaka, near Napier, on Thursday. A man named Reuben Bason, of Wanganui, took out, a warrant against his son for robbing bis orchard of apples. The j boy was arrested, and will be brought up I before a Justice of the Peace.
