SOUDAN WAR.

Suakim, December 23. The British troops have uow returned to this city, The dervishes have reformed their scattered forces, and are harassing the outposts. It is reported here that General Grenfell is much disgusted at the rumored decision of the Imperial Government to withdraw from the Soudan, and that he will desist from the further pursuit of Osman Digns. December 25. The Scottish Borderers will embark for England on Thursday. Before the British troops leave the Soudan several strong and permanent forts will be built to command the plains on the land side of this city, December 26. Deserters from the Arab ranks report that Osman Digna is preparing for flight into the interior. The local sbickhs are gladly co-operating with the British forces for an attack on Handoub. The troops aro grumbling at the cessation of active operations.
