DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETB.

Messrs Samuel Orr and Co., report for the week ending December 27: — Grain —The holidays have so interfered with the markets that to give quotations would only be misleading as prices are only nominal, so we withhold this week from giving any. Wheat is, however, on the decline all orer, and late prices are not now obtainable.

Chaff—Demand good; prime oaten sheaf, if well cut and screened, is worth up to £5 10s. Potatoes The demand for these during the week has not been so large. Old ones command up to £6 j new, £ll to £l2.

DUNEDIN STOCK MARKET. At the Burnside Yards on Thursday the following business was transacted : Tat Cattle—The supply was a small one, but no improvement in values can be recorded. Best bullocks brought from £7 10s to £8 12s 6d; medium and light, £slss to £7; besi cows brought from £5 10s to £7. .Eat Calves—Fourteen penned, and sold at from 9s to 345.

Fat Sheep shorn and unshorn, constituted this week's supply. There was no demand for export. Beit crossbred wethers, in wool, brought from 15s to 17s, shorn do from 10s to Us 3d; shorn crossbred ewes brought from 8s 6d to 10s 3d.

Fat Lambs—Of the 305 penned none were really prime, but owing to the smallness of the supply they sold extremely well, values ranging from 7s 3d to 9s.

Pigs were in Bhort supply, only 118 forward. The demand for all classes was brisk at enhanced values. Bacon pigs sold at from 47s to 58s; porkers at from 33s to 38s; stores at from 19s to 31s; suckers at from lis to 13s.

AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, December 27. I Potatoes, owing to large arrivals, have receded in price and are quoted at present at £lO to £l2. They are expected to be still lower in a few days. Onions/£ll. to £l2. Maize, 3s 6d to 3a 7d. /Oats, 3s 7d to 4s. Bran, lOd. Pollard, lid. Wheat, chick feed, 3s lOd to 4s; milling sorts, 5s 6d. Butter, local, Is 3d to Is 6d; best imported, separator made, Is 3d; dairy, Is to Is Id ; large supplies on the market. Cheese, local, 6d to 7d; New Zealand, 7d to 7£d. Melbouene, December 27. In consequence of the holidays no commercial reports are available. Adelaide, December 27. The grain market is stagnant. Wheat, farmers' lots, 4s at Port Adelaide; 4s 4d at outports. Stone flour, £11; roller made, £l2. Bran, Is 3d. Pollard, Is 2£d.
