PRIDE OF TAIERI was foaled on the 2lst November, 1885. He is ; a beautiful Dapple Brown, stands 16£ hands 'high, with immense clean l flat bone, and hair of,the best quality. He gained 2nd prize at the Taieri Show, 1886, as a yearling. His Sire, Sir George : Gray, imported from Boot land, was bred by William, Grey, Esq., Muinoraig, Kircudbright, sired by the famous Clydesdale stallion Larges Jook, Hi, 0.5.8., dam Bell by Prince Alfred, 618, G. 5.8., His dam Jenny, 93, N.Z.5.8., bred by Messrs Fleming and Hedley, Oamaru, sire Renfrew Jook, 185, N.Z.S.B. As the above will show, Pride of Taieri is descended from the best Olycloidsle blood on record.
