William Sinclair, a shepherd at Lee baa drank bimfelf to death at Lee Stream Hotel, Otago, having been on a drinking bout there for nine days. Deceased, who bad hitherto been strong and healthy, and wai worth money, was unaccustomed to drinks David Hunter, who has acted as agent in Auckland for Messrs W. Moif and Company of Christchurch, has been committed for trial on a charge 6i embezzling money belonging to that firm.
