PARNELL COMMISSION.
London, November 22., Before the Times Commission counsel for the Parneilites appealed to Sir James Hanuen to confine the evidence to more reasonable limits, pointing>out that each wide-spread testimony as had been given could serve no good purpose and only tended to ruin everybody whose name was dragged in. Counsel urged that the evidence with reference, to shooting of Lord Monntmorres was a case in point. Moreover the crossexamination of Lady Motmlmorres showed that her husband’s murder was due to quite a different cause than vengeance of the tenants. Sir Jaqies Hannen, in reply, expressed a hope that counsel for the Times would see tljeir way to curtail the evidence ih ( the direction indicated. November 24i Queen Victoria has addressed a letter of sympathy to L»dy Monntmorres. Mr Harrington declines to pay the sum of £SOO in which he was fined for contempt by the Times-Parnell Commission.
