The Mount D Or Qi Idmining Company, Hokitika, have just paid a dividend of £1 pet share. Nine shillings per share have been paid within the year. Mr Thomas Herrick, who for several months has conducted a Home for Destitute men in Christchurch, writes that for the past two months he bus received so little help as to make him almost inclined to close the home, though the demands upon it are numerous and pressing.
