The liquidators of the Auckland Woollen Company have received two tenders for the purchase of the plant, stock, and business, but both have been declined as the sum offered was considered insufficient. Private negotiations for the purchase are prooßeding. ; The mill is kept funning by the liquidators and is turning out more work than ever before. The Auckland Tramway Company have not been able to oome to u definite decision as to the proposals submitted by Mr Prince, on behalf of the Boston Company, to substitute electricity for horse power on the tramways. Mr Prince has left for Duneditfi there being some talk.of the Dunedin Tramway Company using eletricity on their lines, but he is expected back in -Auckland next month. The Auckland Tramway Company, with a view to haying all information possible available, before effieetinga"revolution in their operations, haye .phoed themselves in communication with the directors of the Sprague Electrical Works, New'York.
