The coal export from Greymouth last week was 3209 tons. *A young man named Michael Sheehan attempted to commit suicide at Auckland on. Friday night by cutting his throat. An open boat which wqpt to sea at Westport on the 7lh with three men on board capsizad four miles southward of Little Wanganui. The occupants got safely ashore through the surf, but were much exhausted. They intend returning by sea with the first favourable breeze.
